1. Object and Scope: Alphabet Kids web ordering service is operated by Alphabet Kids Inc, 73 Railside Road - Unit #1, Toronto, Ontario M3A 1B3. Alphabet Kids is an Incorporated Company under the laws of Ontario. Alphabet Kids is registered to collect provincial sales taxes in Ontario under vendor number 0151-0363.
Alphabet Kids is committed to ensuring that your privacy and personal information is protected.
We will only use the personal information you supply in accordance with this privacy statement. Our services are, among other things, the acceptance of school lunch orders and delivery of same to your child's school.
The aim of this privacy policy is to set out how Alphabet Kids collects, uses and protects any information that you give Alphabet Kids when you use this web-site.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as outlined in the privacy policy.
Alphabet Kids may change this policy by updating this page. You should check this page periodically to ensure that you agree with any changes. This policy was last updated on August 2014.
2. What we collect, limits: As part of using this service, you will create a user profile that includes your name and address, and the names and schools attended for your children. As part of paying for your food orders, the web-site will re-direct you to a web-page hosted by the Moneris payment service. Information entered on said page is collected and managed under their privacy policy. Alphabet Kids does not store your banking information and accepts no responsibility for the sate-keeping of said banking information. Once you have successfully processed your payment with Moneris, you are returned to our Service. Moneris transmits an approval code that allows us to mark your orders as paid.
3. What we do with the information we gather: Your information is secured in our databases hosted by a third party service based in Montreal, Quebec. While we do not foresee the need to transfer your data outside of Canada, we do not guarantee that the storage will remain within Canadian jurisdiction, nor that the transmission of the data will not be via a routing that is outside of Canadian jurisdiction.
We do not sell or rent any information you supply us. Periodically, we will summarize your food order activity to provide us data with which to evaluate our service. This summarized data does not include your personal information. The information you provide about the children under your care is used solely to facilitate the delivery of the food you have ordered. We do have two levels of e-mail information which we may provide. All users of the service may receive information from time to time about service availability. If you check the e-mail update box on your user profile when you create it or later edit it, you may receive marketing and promotional information about our service in general. You may unsubscribe to that information by removing the check mark in the e-mail update box on your user profile.
4. Security: We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. Part of this security is your userID and password. If you share your password with another individual, we are not able to secure your data from their access.
5. Transfer of Information: We reserve the right to transfer your personal information in the event of a transfer of ownership of Alphabet Kids or in case of merger or other acquisition with another company related to the business
or Service which collected such information.
6. How we use Cookies: A cookie is a small text file which is placed on our computer's hard drive with your permission. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie allows our database to identify you and your transactions while they are on-going.
You must allow cookies to be placed for our site if you wish to successfully use the Service. You may clear the cookie from your browser when you complete your session without concern - we do not use cookies across multiple sessions.
7. Links to other Websites: From time to time our general web-site may contain links to other web-sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other web-sites or third party services.
We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of each and every web-site that collects personally identifiable information. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the web-site in question.
8. Access right and rectification: You are entitled to access and rectify the information held about you.

The web ordering system allows you to make payments using your debit or credit card, through a service with Moneris. This service is secure, and Alphabet Kids does not store your card number -- in relation to the payment, only the date and authorization code is stored in our system.
Orders may be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Orders for delivery on the next school day must be placed and paid by 5PM Eastern.

Cancellations will receive a credit to put towards future orders if received ONLINE by 5PM the day before your scheduled delivery. Cancellations after the online cutoff need to be sent by text to (416)606-1074 before 8AM the day of delivery(with confirmation).
NO REFUNDS - CREDITS ONLY.
Alphabet Kids does not offer refunds. Credits are automatically available for orders that were paid for and are cancelled ONLINE before 5PM Eastern the day before scheduled delivery. After 5PM the night before, cancellations need to be made by text to (416)606-1074 before 8AM the day of delivery. If your cancellation is confirmed, we will post a credit to your account.
